		French Creek Labradors is proud to offer the latest innovative training program for our clients. While alot of our clients are from waterfowl and upland hunting families,there is an even larger segment of active outdoor oriented families that have as big a love for the outdoors and outdoor activities as their hunting family counterparts. These Labradors are built with the ORVIS family lifestyle in mind! Seeing a need to fill the void of clients who want a well bred, well behaved and socialized companion. And not wanting the added time and expense needed to get a trained gundog, we have developed a true family companion program that covers all the needs and desires of folks just wanting a great family pet that is part of the fabric of day to day life. it doesnt matter if its riding to soccer practice in the back of the car or going to the shore in the summer! These dogs are not washouts or kennel dogs with no homes, these guys come right from our proven breeding program of companion gundogs and have the same great athletic, gentle, composed traits that make them great field dogs! Going home at 5/6 months old the ORVIS Family Companion Labrador will be skilled in all areas that make them an asset and joy to have in your home life. Great care is taken to select the proper pup from each perspective breeding to ensure that when the dog goes home it will be a seamless transition from our home to yours. We understand that in todays world there are dozens of outdoor activities that do not include filling your game bag with ducks and pheasants. It is with that understanding that the protocols put in place in our companion program instill the control and calm that people want in a family dog. Along with the boldness of pups that are not afraid of new people,places,sites and sounds. These dogs will be able to go cross country skiing or swimming beside the canoe at the lake in the summer. Want a playmate and guardian for the kids this summer? These dogs fit all the profiles for the active family! From Mountain trail hiking to days at the shore, French Creek Labradors guarantees that our ORVIS Family Companion Labradors will become your best friend the minute they meet you! Please take a moment and review a partial listing of skill sets that your young pup will come home with: Crate trained Riding in vehicles On leash obedience (heel,sit,here) Respond to basic whistle obedience commands Socialized in family settings Comfortable working with multiple handlers Taught the "Crate" or "Place" command for high pressure situations Swimming Canoes Controlled free walks in parks,trails,woods..... Calm, in high traffic situations such as near roadways, children's sports events etc... Home manners No jump Controlled exits from buildings,crates,cars.... *Retrieve fun bumpers and balls This is just a brief listing of all the items covered in the program, training can and will be customized to meet particular client needs. NOTE: DOGS LEAVING THIS COURSE WILL HAVE HAD NO FORMAL GUN DOG SKILLS TAUGHT AND SHOULD NOT BE THOUGHT OF AS SUCH. PLEASE VISIT OUR GUN DOG SECTION IF YOU ARE A HUNTER.
